I'm reading through the Geekipedia insert from the latest issue of wired. It's funny and interesting all at the same time explaining things from distributed computing to Twitter. There are a lot of interesting people, ideas, and terms that are explained, however given that it is only 60 pages there are a lot of things that are left out. If you don't like the complete list goto the add an entry section and see what others have added, or add your own.
So far my favorite definition has been Goodwin's Law, from EFF staff council Mike Goodwin. It says that:
"The longer an online conversation continues, the greater the probability of a reference to Nazis. At that point the discussion is essentially over."
So funny, but very true. If you look at long comment sections on the internet, especially if it is on some sort of hot button topic, you will find this occurring.
